Today at IFA 2015, Turkish appliance giant Beko announced a number of appliance innovations inspired by the company's mission statement: "Change for the better." All of the features on display promise to make household tasks easier and, in most cases, more energy-efficient.

Unfortunately, most of these products and technological advances aren't likely to come to the U.S. market any time soon. Still, as the brand expands its North American presence, we may see some of them hit our shores in the long run.

Dishwashers

Up first was the under-counter DUN28331X auto-dose dishwasher. This is the first appliance of its kind to hit Europe, and promises to remove at least one step from the arduous task of loading the machine.

The machine automatically doses loads with the required amount of detergent, based on information gathered by sensors on the bottom of the unit. Details about the actual workings of the sensors are currently unavailable.

While the auto dosing feature is only present in the DUN28331X model, Beko also announced two pieces of dishwasher tech that will be available across a range of products.

The SoftTouch basket is remarkably similar to the Dynamic Wash Arm we saw in the Samsung DW80J9945US. Essentially a cradle for wine glasses, it allows you to wash these delicate items without fear of breakage.

Standing in sharp contrast to the kid gloves of the SoftTouch basket is the AquaIntense system. This small hose works in tandem with the regular spray arm, sending a much-needed blast of water into pots and pans.

Refrigerators

All veggie fans are familiar with the ticking time bomb that is the crisper drawer. One minute your lettuce is crisp and crunchy; the next, it's a swampy mass of sadness.

The EverFresh+ crisper drawer is Beko's solution to this pervasive problem. The drawer is hermetically sealed, but has a adjustable vent if needed. It also bathes the fruit and veg in a deep blue light, which allegedly slows down the rate of photosynthesis and thus the decay of the vegetables. Beko predicts that the EverFresh+ drawer will preserve your veg for up to 30 days.

Ovens

Beko also took the opportunity to show off its latest cooking technologies: Surf and PizzaPro.

PizzaPro, as you can probably guess, is all about the pizza. This feature allows ovens to reach temperatures as high as 590°F, which gets you closer to the authentic taste and texture that an pizzeria oven provides. (Though we'll note that a good Neapolitan pizza requires about 900°F.)

Surf is Beko's multiple dish cooking solution. Essentially, the oven cavity has three separate air circulation systems—one for each rack. Beko claims that Surf ovens are capable of cooking three dishes at once with minimal odor transfer. We'll hold off on weighing in until we've tested the feature for ourselves.

American-Sized Appliances

Though not part of the press event, Beko also used its booth to show off a series of "American-style" products for European consumers. These machines may seem almost comically small compared to what you've got in the kitchen of your three-bedroom ranch-style house, but they're large by European standards.

Products included a 36-inch French door wall oven, a 30-inch Pro Design gas range, a 30-inch slide-in dual-fuel range, a counter-depth freestanding fridge, a 30-inch built-in bottom-freezer fridge, and a new dishwasher lineup.

These will be launching in the U.S. in early 2016.
