There are dozens of things to think about when renovating your kitchen: cabinets, countertops, flooring, appliances, lighting... and, of course, the sink. While you may not be thinking about how something like a simple faucet may increase the value of your home, we think the devil is in the details.

Brizo, a high-end faucet maker, agrees. The company has taken the typically mundane kitchen faucet and given it the freedom to move and bend. Drawing inspiration from the industrial design of articulating arms for desk lamps, Brizo created what it claims is the first line of articulating kitchen faucets.

Here at Dwell on Design in L.A., Brizo has brought the new line to show off ahead of its imminent launch. They come in two collections: the traditional Artesso and the modern Solna.

Both collections have four points of movement, including two articulating hinges and two points that allow you to twist the faucet, both at the base and at the tip that holds the faucet head. The head is held in place by a magnet and can be easily removed to use by hand on its flexible black hose.

Both lines start at $720 for the polished chrome finish. The Artesso also offers polished nickel, Venetian bronze, and stainless steel finishes, while the Solna collection offers stainless steel and matte black finishes in addition to the traditional chrome.

The Artesso collection will be available for purchase starting this Monday, but the modern Solna collection won't go on sale until sometime in Q3.
